Golden brown in color & nutty in taste, barley flour has 4 times the fiber as refined flour. Use to make rotis, crackers and as a thickener in soups, this atta is here to stay in your kitchen!

Storage & Shelf Life

Best before 6 months from date of manufacturing, fresher the better! Conventionally stored in tin boxes away from moisture and heat.

Cooking Method

Knead 1 cup Jiwa Barley Flour with ⅓ cup tepid water and some salt.
Make a soft pliable dough, cover, and keep aside for 10-15 mins.
Make 4-5 balls of equal size. Roll each one out into a medium size circle.
Roast on a hot tawa till brown spots appear on both sides. Serve hot.

Serving Suggestion

Perfect addition to the grand Indian thali, or with any meal at home.

Appearance: buff beige coloured smooth flour!

Aroma: typical of the stone ground varieties, the nutty aroma is pronounced, and is well balanced with the added sweet whiffs of the organic variety.

Taste notes: strong nuttiness with the fibrous texture sits really well on the back of the mouth, and gives a satiating feeling that lingers.

Good quality and fresh

The barley fluor we received seems to be of good quality. We use this fluor to make rotis. You need to add 25% wheat flour which we use the khapli fluor from Jiwa itself to make the rotis knead well.
